Mother of a Disciple of Srila Prabhupada Passes Away Dear Devotees, We at Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. are asking for your blessings and prayers for the mother of Visnugada Das, a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada. Hilde Evans, age 88, passed away last night, Thursday, July 1, 2010 after hearing daily chanting of the holy names during the last week of her life. Please pray for this special soul whose son continues to give his life in service to Srila Prabhupada and his movement. Kindly ask Lord Krsna to give spiritual strength to her loving family as well. I have been endeavoring to console Rae because she is deeply saddened by the passing of her friend. She has just sent me a request for prayers from me and my community. She states "Individually and collectively we need prayers for healing and the immediate manifestation of our highest good, resurrection of our spirits and spirituality, mental and emotional health, and our total well-being." She has been unemployed for a long time and now her health is deteriorating. Her eldest son has a chronic heart condition; her youngest son is unemployed for more then a year, suffering depression, stress and serious rifts in his marital relationship. Hare Krishna Dasi left for Moscow yesterday and reached there. However, while on her way home in the train, she passed away. Yamunanath Prabhu asked me to pass on this message. Despite of his pure material interests I see some good qualities in him that have definitely influenced my life and my personality a lot. In young years he was a very goal-oriented family man. He had a clear vision about what he wanted to achieve in life for his family and how he wanted to die. He definitely lived his material dream. It was amazing for me to see that even his last desire about how he wanted to die became fulfilled. In a material sense he was a very caring father and in terms of reliability, organizational skills, and cleanliness he was always an example for me. He died at he age of 80 years painlessly. Your aspiring servant, July 16, 2010 Sent in by Daivisakti Devi Dasi He reasons ill who says that Vaisnavas die, His Grace Aindra Prabhu Attains the Spiritual Realm. With extreme anguish we inform the devotees of the disappearance of His Grace Aindra Prabhu on the night of July 16, 2010. He was alone in his room worshiping His beloved Deities when apparently there was a gas leak from his cylinder. Some devotees heard a sound and there was some smell, but no one knew from where it came. Devotees knocked on Aindra's door, but there was no response all night. His door is very thick, and there is one trap door in it. In the morning when Aindra didn't come to the temple to dress Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara, the devotees then could understand that something serious had happened. With difficulty they broke open the trap door, and only one devotee, Adi Kesava Das, was small enough to enter the room. When he entered he saw that the entire room was black and there was disturbance everywhere. It appeared that Aindra might have lit a match in the room and that caused the gas in the air to ignite and burn the room. Aindra was behind the altar. It looked as if he had tried to open the window, but was unsuccessful, so he offered his obeisances behind Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, and left his body in that position. When Adi Kesava found him, Aindra was already long gone, and his body was still offering obeisances. At this moment the formalities are under way to bring Aindra Prabhu in procession to Sri Yamunaji. The entire Vaisnava community will surely lament at the disappearance of such a stalwart kirtaniya who inspired the world with akhanda kirtana. His saintly guidance and example as a pure and devoted disciple of Srila Prabhupada has certainly qualified him for express entry into the eternal lila of his beloved Lords, Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundara. But for this we will have to go to Goloka Vrindavana, which will still take many lifetimes for us.
