Chandrika devi dasi

My daughter sufered from asthma as a child very bad. Two things that helped her
was an herb called lobilia and a mixture of onion, garlic and honey and very
little water kept in a jar and taken like a cough syrup. I hope this can help.

Dear Friend

Sometimes we find that Asthma and allergies have a root cause in some past unresolved issue. An example of this is: one German lady had severe problems with hay fever, another with asthma, during a Hypnotherapy session it was discovered that the first lady had been left in a field when very young, where she was affected by the pollen, which had then stayed with her ever since. The other lady had a memory of being shouted at when a very young child, which brought on an anxiety attack which turned into Asthma.

These two cases show that through Hypnotherapy the causes can be discovered and subsequently removed. If you decide to go to a Hypnotherapist make sure they are properly qualified to do such work, many are not.

All the best. Hare Krishna

We had good friend of our Krishna Balaram temple who was also a dear friend of
Srila Prabhupada who was suffering very severe asthma. One time he gave a nice
donation to Vrinda Kunda and practically the next day in a publication from Gorakpur Press call Go Ank, he found a simple cure.

In the morning you bathe with cow dung and then morning and evening you take a
pinch of toasted alum (phitkari) in a small glass of cow urine. (Now from Vrindavan Goshala you can get purified cow urine). He said he couldn't even walk up to the front gate of his house, but after one month, he threw away all his medicines and was walking around the block.

Good Luck!

The only solution for this is as per my knowledge is do the pranayama regularly in the early hours of a day. And there is one yoga which can treat this well. But I do not know the yoga name. But I know the posture. Sit in the floor with heels touch the back and bent towards front by stretching both hands back ward. Now the belly will have contact with the thighs and keep the breath for some 30 seconds and slowly release the breath while coming to the original position. This way we have to do for at least 10 times. I do not know the name of this yoga. You just ask any expert for this and start doing this. But the pranayama is the best one I can assure.

Hare Krishna, Shrijit.
One thing I would like to suggest ,not as a cure but of nutritional support in any disease condition, is the fruit of the wild rose known as rose hips. Best to harvest locally from a source away from highways and factories etc. If necessary this can be purchased. Rose hips not only contain ascorbic acid  (vitamin C) but many bioflavinoids which make them far superior to the simple vitamin.    Also being an amatuer student of Vedic Sidereal Astrology , I would reccommend contacting a competent astrologer to see if there are any underlying malefic planetery influences relating here. Proper gemstones, mantras and charities can provide much help. Above all chant the mahamantra
             Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
             Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
             Hare Rama  Hare Rama
             Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hoping your condition improves
yours in the Lord's service,

Hare Krishna Prabhu,
The main remedies for asthma are pranayama, raw foods, and modification in fluids.
Drink less water, instead drink fruit juices, hot vegetable soups, and raw vegetable juices (carrot, beetroot, cabbage, cucumber). To counter phelgm, drink daily one teaspoon of tulsi sarbhat (pound one fistful of tulsi, extract the juice and half the quantity add ginger juice and littel jaggery. Boil it and keep the sarbhat. Use it daily one tablesppon full.

Avoid hair dyes.

To control asthma, take daily in the morning four vilva leaves plus two pepper.
Powder both and mix it. Take it as long as asthma is present. One dose everyday.

Drink grape juice. It is a great curative.

Dip feet in hot water to get relief during Attaks.

Note: for non-devotees, during severe attacks in night hours, inhale a crushed
white garlic, it will give immediate relief.

Avoid belts or tight clothing, meditate, and remain cool.

Above all, depend on Lord Sri Krishna who is the supreme controller of
everything.

Chant Hare Krishna mahamantra to get HIS mercy!!!!!!!. You can see wonders
happening in your life.

Mr. Srijit Nair,

I am a physician from American and there was a recent patient who had asthma problems and along with all the regular medical treatment, He requested his doctor to say a PRAYER. There is an article on him from the POWER OF PRAYERS that healed his problem.

It is my sincere belief that my beloved, supreme KRSNA-THe supreme personality of Godhead is the SUPREME DOCTOR and the MAHA MANTRA His Supreme MEDICINE:

Hare Krsna Hare Krsna KRsna KRsna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.

If you are having trouble vibrating the beautiful sound of this MEDICINE MANTRA due to your asthma, then please LISTEN TO THIS MANTRA from a CD, ABSORB yourself in GOD's PURE MEDICINE.

KRSNA MY BELOVED DOCTOR can perfrom any type of MIRACLE. And, if you put just 100% faith in his medicine of maha mantra he WILL HEAL YOU.

I recently had a food poisoining experience and I had very difficult exams I needed to get through that week. My doctor said it would take a week to heal but I decided to NOT take any medicine and CHANT THE MAHA MANTRA 40 ROUNDS that day. I WAS TOTALLY HEALED IN JUST ONE DAY!

I can give you 100s of stories that confirm the POWER OF MAHA MANTRA.

FOR ME MAHA MANTRA is the SUPREME MEDICINE and KRSNA my SUPREME BELOVED DOCTOR is the BEST DOCTOR in this entire universe.

There are several reasons that people have asthma, but for the most they have found that people have "an attack" when they are exposed to "a trigger"  Your trigger can be a food, environmental, chemical, etc.  Whatever the trigger may be it is important to first of all try to find out what the trigger is and then stay away from it.  As far as when you do have an attack, it is very important to take the medicine and get treatment immediately with the onset of the attack.
Do not wait for "it" to go away.  I have seen people who "waited" and then end
up in the hospital for several weeks on life support.  Hopes this helps a
little...

Well, I have a devotee friend who suffers from asthma since childhood and she
always takes a compress with apple vinegar and immediately she finds relive from
the asthma attack. Also is better not to eat certain foods. To see if you have some
food allergies and if so cure that first and your asthma will get much better.  Also
taking apple vinegar in your food helps a lot, give it a try.

Dear Prabhu,

Have you been tested for allergies?
When my husband eats or drinks any dairy products he gets very bad asthma.  But
there are many things that you could be allergic to:
Dairy
Wheat
Gluten
Dust
Mold
Animals
Chemicals
Feathers
Food additives such as sulfites
Tobacco smoke
Roaches
Plastic bags and rubber products
Pollution
Pollen
Dust Mites in your bedding, pillows and mattress
Rice
Soya Products
Corn
Peanuts
Spinach
Carrots
Beets
Cold beverages
White table salt
White flour
White sugar

This list could go on and on, maybe you could try to find out if it is an allergic reaction to any of these things.

*Try to remember what changed in your life when the Asthma began.  Maybe you
moved to a new environment, got a new job where any of the above list of things
are present, changed your diet or maybe it's a seasonal reaction.

*Other things that can bring on an attack are adrenal disorders, anxiety,
changes in temperature, exercise, extremes in dryness or humidity, fear,
laughing, low blood pressure and stress.

*A respiratory infection such as bronchitis may also be involved. Whatever the
particular instigator, it causes the bronchial tubes to swell and become plugged
with mucus.  This inflammation further irritates the airways.

*You may want to go to a MD and get x-rays to see what is happening as far as
inflammation.  I don't like to go to doctors much but when it comes to the lungs,
for me they always seem to help me the best, as they can prescribe antibiotics
if it is a serious life threatening inflammation.

*One natural antibiotic that I have used successfully is N-Acetylglucosamine
500mg 3 times a day on an empty stomach with juice or water.

*Try to Boost all of your vitamins such as:
A 15,000 IU daily
B Complex 50mg 4 times daily
B6 1/2 cc (Injections by a doctor work best for Asthma)
E 600 IU daily
C 1,500 mg 3 times daily
D get 3 minutes of sun on your face daily
D 600 IU daily
Enzymes found in Protein drinks
Digestive Enzymes

*Eat a diet rich in nuts, fruits, brown rice, Whole grains, dhal, lot's of fresh
vegetables no sugar, no dairy, few fried foods, no processed foods, no white
flour, sugar or processed table salt, get the pink Himalayan rock salt, lot's of
water, herb and ginger teas.

*Try fasting on juices three days a month.

*Make your meals light, heavy meals can cause shortness of breath. Instead try
to eat 6 small meals or snacks in a day.

*Use an elimination diet to see if certain foods aggravate the condition. Common culprits include:
corn, peanuts, soy, beets, carrots, cold beverages, dairy products, processed
foods, salt, spinach, white flour and white sugar.

*Use an air purifier/ionizer near where you sleep and work.

*Try to get regular exercise unless it triggers an asthma attack.

*Use a water filter in your shower if you have chlorine in your water. The
chlorine when in the form of steam goes right into your blood stream.

*Try to get a restful night's sleep.

*Smile often.

*Chant with sincerity.

*Never forget Radha and Krishna

*Always serve the devotees

I hope you will try some of these things, please don't be overwhelmed by so many
ideas, just do what you can do and I'm sure the Lord will help you.

Your servant,
Mother jhulana-yatra dd

Hare Krishna Shrijit
Well, you certainly are getting a wide range of advice. One thing I forgot to mention is fasting on Ekadasi, the eleventh day after the full moon and the eleventh a after the new moon. The Vedic literatures state that such fasting will cure all disease.

All progress to you.
