-C.A.R.E.
Distance Learning Course on Basic Hospice Care

We are pleased that you have joined us to enhance your knowledge of end-of-life care issues. We hope that our weekly course material will assist you in helping a Vaisnava in need in your community, if and when the need arises.

This online instructional course is designed to give you basic knowledge in order to help you care for a Vaisnava, but it is supplemental material and is not intended to replace our in-person workshops and seminars. It is also not meant to replace home visits from hospice professionals who can offer invaluable services to the patient and family. There is no fee for this course. It is mandatory for all volunteers to complete this course. It consists of 10 lessons. If done weekly, the course should take you approximately two and a half months to complete. If it is more convenient feel free to print out the lessons and study them at your own pace. At the end of each lesson there will be a group of questions for you to complete and submit online. The questions are designed to help you retain the information and will not be graded. A certificate of completion will be mailed to you after all lessons are submitted. This is not an accredited or licensed course. It is meant to increase your knowledge about end of life care for family and friends. However, a printable certificate will be sent to you upon completion of this course.
